Who I am

Hello! I’m Missy Oller, a dedicated parenting coach and early childhood specialist with over 30 years of experience working with children, families, and educators. Since 1992, I’ve been passionate about supporting parents through the challenges of raising resilient, confident kids.

I hold a Bachelor of Science degree from Metropolitan State College of Denver, with a minor in parent education. My career began with the Head Start Program, where I spent ten years in multiple roles, including preschool teacher, director, and parent coordinator. Working with Head Start gave me a deep appreciation for early childhood development and family dynamics.

For the past twelve years, I’ve served in Early Intervention for Adams County. My roles have included Service Coordinator, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Service Coordinator, and Developmental Evaluator. I have extensive experience with IFSP, IEP, and 504 meetings, and I’m deeply familiar with the support structures that can make a difference for children with developmental needs.

Over the last fifteen years, I’ve also expanded my work to support teens through coaching high school sports. I was instrumental in helping establish Boys Volleyball as a sanctioned high school sport in Colorado and have coached both boys and girls ages 13-18. This work has been a joy, allowing me to mentor young adults and connect with their families in meaningful ways.

I’m also a proud mom to three wonderful young adults, each of whom has taught me so much about the practical side of parenting. I believe that parenting is a lifelong role—one that constantly evolves but never truly ends.

Professionally, I’m committed to ongoing education and staying updated with the latest research and best practices in early childhood and family development. My credentials include:

  • Certification from the Colorado Association of Infant Mental Health
  • Early Childhood Certificate
  • Family Development Credential

I also maintain certifications in First Aid, CPR, and Mandated Reporting, and I regularly attend workshops, seminars, and training sessions to enhance my skills and knowledge.

Through The Parenting Store, I’m here to share my experience, empathy, and understanding with families, helping them navigate parenting challenges with confidence and compassion.
